Tampa Bay, FL
My challenge to myself is simple and complex -- whether it is an acrylic abstraction on canvas, a digital abstract collage or a cypress swamp at sunset -- I want to create an extended moment for the viewer that is meditative, rich and deeply soul satisfying.
I am an artist first and a photographer second. My eye sees unusual shape, form or light, patterns complex or simple and my camera aims to attempt a capture. The result is a very unique perspective on the natural world. I have been fortunate to have visited very unique wild places -- mostly in the interior of Florida -- but also Canada, the Western and Midwestern US and Europe. I look to capture the mystique of a place, it's essence has to shine through.
